Wedding photography in the Louisville and Lexington areas has the greatest couples and I am blessed to be able to be a part of their weddings: from the first consultation, where we connect, look at albums and decide what is important, to the engagement session, where we get to know one another and find out that being in front of the camera is a lot of fun, to FINALLY the wedding...which is joyful, inspiring, emotional, and exquisite!

Katie and Jonathan are completely delightful. They were one of my favorite engagement sessions this past fall. I had such a busy fall wedding season that I didn’t have a chance to get it blogged so I thought that I might put them together with some of my wedding favorites. Remember what pretty fall we had? These pics will remind you. Congratulations Katie and Jonathan!
A wedding at home, especially a beautiful home, has such a warm and joyful feel. Randy and Judy exuded gracious hospitality. The food, from Volare Italian Ristorante on Frankfort, was exquisite in both presentation and flavors. I highly recommend it and am personally looking forward to frequenting it myself. All in all it was a wonderful day with great new friends.

Cathedral of the Assumption, Wedding Venue
It might have been cold, cold, cold outside but inside the wedding was wonderful and the bride was beautiful. The Christmas decorations only added to the already stunning ambience at the Cathedral of the Assumption. David and Katie were relaxed and went with the flow of the day with grace and smiles. The we went to The Gillespie for the reception.
Bardstown, Kentucky is such a cute town and always a good place for a wedding. Katie ordered perfect weather and that it was. So put together a great location, perfect weather, a cute and sweet couple AND you have no choice but to have a photographer’s dream. Congratulations and Blessings!
E-sessions are such fun to do! They are relaxed, we get to go to as many locations as we want AND we really have a chance to get to know one another. Jessica and Patrick were great to work with and I look forward to their wedding next summer.
Courtney and Chad are just delightful people! I could tell that they come from a family heritage of strong relationships, commitment and genuine love for each other. Not only did we get to celebrate their wedding but Courney’s mother and father were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary as well. The wedding was at St. Mary’s of the Knobs and the reception was at Hubers…which is always a good idea! I always feel priviledged to be a part of such an important day. Congratulations and blessings on your lives together.
“Louisville Fans” only just begins to describe Amy and Ted. It was a great day at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium for both the wedding and reception. The weather was beautiful for pictures and then put on a beautiful lightening show during the reception. As you can see, we had a lot of fun with the whole wedding party. Altogether it was a photographer’s dream day.
Saturday’s wedding was at Berry Hill Mansion in Frankfort. It was absolutely a stunning venue for a wedding. The house was an architechtural dream and the grounds were beautiful. I could have spent all day just using the features of the house for settings…OR sitting on the veranda sipping peach cordial. 
To top it off, the weather was great and Sara and Jeremy and their families were very gracious and fun to work with. A special thanks to Tammy Howell for her help this weekend.
Susan and Brad are getting married in October at Wooded Glenn Retreat and so we did the engagement session there also. It was lovely with a number of settings that are beautiful for pictures. I can’t wait until the colors begin to change and we add that factor into the mix. What a great session…thanks guys!
I think e-sessions are great. I love getting to know the couple better and that makes the wedding day so much more comfortable. It really captures the couple in a relaxed way that allows them to be themselves. Katie and Shane were so nice to work with. It was a hot steamy evening and could have been a bust as far a pictures went but they were just happy to be together and wanted pictures that captured their relationship. And as you can see, they are SO sweet together. Congratulations and I am really looking forward to shooting your wedding in October!

What a day! Although it was extremely hot, the wedding was great. Whitney never complained or gave up because of the heat and Clint always had a smile on his face. (Of course he was marrying Whitney, which helped) Compliments to my great second shooter Melissa for not only bearing the heat but getting great shots as usual! Thanks everyone.
If there is a theme at a wedding, the theme of this wedding is relationships. The families and friends were so close, so fun, and so happy to be together. The day was glorious…who gets a 72 degree day in July with a beautiful sky???? This is a first! Megan had the wedding day organized beautifully which allowed everything, including the photography, to be relaxed and on time. What a great day!
I love being able to shoot in new locations. Angela had acess to the engine room and the wheel on the Belle of Louisville and we got to try some shots before the guests boarded. E-sessions regardless of the venue are quite fun. We get to know each other and it makes the wedding day so much more relaxed. Angela and Jason were great to work with…it is so nice to shoot a couple that genuinely loves each other and that sparkle shows through to the images. I am looking forward to shooting their wedding at the Olmsted in 2010. It is exciting how fast we are booking for 2010!
The summer is just flying by. That’s usually a sign that I am enjoying what I am doing! Amber and Josh are a delightful couple and as you can see they are photogenic too. The wedding and reception were at the Crescent Hills Baptist Church. The architechture of the church was great for pictures. Congratulations Amber and Josh…have fun in Florida!
I love Sarah and Ryan. They are a very kind, sweet couple and it was a pleasure to spend the day with them. The newly renovated Seelbach was beautiful! Although the weather outside was stifling, Sarah was determined to get some outdoor pictures and I am so glad that we did. A big thanks to Katie Holton from ShaFox Wedding Coordinators…she is spectacular to work with and made the day flow without a hitch. As a shameless plug, anyone who needs a wedding planner…Katie is a great choice. Also thanks to Melissa, my second photographer for the day, I couldn’t have done it without you!

Okay, since I am having to reload everything, I think that I will put the e-session with the wedding pics. Tabitha and Brandon were great. Sweet, doesn’t even come close to explaining what a nice couple they are. We had a great time on the e-session but the wedding was wonderful. The timeline for the day had a lot of time for picture taking and as you can see it was worth it. Aren’t they beautiful?
So, I woke up this morning ready to blog about a great wedding at Garden Court and my blog had defaulted back to a random template! Sigh! I will probably have to reload and rework everything that I have done in a while. Did you ever feel like you were moving one step forward and two back? I’ll be back up and running as soon as I can!
